Vietnam, China to test open Ban Gioc and Detian waterfalls for tourists

HCMC – The northern province of Cao Bang is planning to coordinate with China’s Guangxi Province to test open the tourist sites of Ban Gioc waterfall in Vietnam and Detian waterfall in China this October.
Cao Bang authorities discussed with the Cungzcoj Si administration in Guangxi to find solutions to soon open the tourist sites of Ban Gioc waterfall in Vietnam and Detian waterfall in China on a pilot basis, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
On a trial basis, Vietnam will operate a checkpoint at the alley between the tourist sites, the Saigon – Ban Gioc Hotel, Truc Lam Ban Gioc pagoda and a food service section.
Meanwhile, China has a checkpoint, the Detian waterfall site, a shopping quarter, internal roads for tourists and a riverside pedestrian street.
During the trial operation, entrance tickets will be collected from Chinese guests coming to Vietnam at a price of VND70,000 per guest inclusive of insurance. Meanwhile, Vietnamese guests will be exempted from the entrance fee during the testing period.
The trial operation period for tourists to travel between the two countries’ tourist sites is scheduled to commence in October this year.
