HCMC – The Government has announced that the construction of Beltway 4 in Hanoi City will begin on June 25, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Beltway 4 project will take place at four different locations.
The first location is at the interchange between Beltway 4 and Thang Long Boulevard in Hoai Duc District. The other three locations are at the intersections of the beltway with National Highway 2 in Soc Son District, the old National Highway 1A in Thuong Tin District, and in Thanh Oai District.
Local authorities have issued directives to relevant agencies and units in seven districts to expedite the process of land clearance and resettlement, aiming to complete it by the end of this year.
Beltway 4 in Hanoi is considered a crucial infrastructure project in the country. The 112.8-kilometer road will connect the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway section in Soc Son District and the Noi Bai-Halong Expressway section in Bac Ninh Province.
The beltway will traverse three provinces in northern Vietnam, including Hanoi, Hung Yen, and Bac Ninh.
The project is divided into seven components, with the first phase requiring an estimated VND85.8 trillion.
