Foxconn invests US$250 million in two factories in Quang Ninh

HCMC – Foxconn Singapore has received investment registration certificates to develop two factories in Quang Ninh Province with a total investment of nearly US$250 million.
The factories, named FECV Foxconn Quang Ninh and FMMV Foxconn Quang Ninh, will be located at the Song Khoai Industrial Park, Quang Yen Town.
The FECV Foxconn Quang Ninh Factory project, covering an area of 6.3 hectares, aims to establish a manufacturing and assembly facility for electronic components, electric chargers, and electric vehicle charging controllers. With investment capital of VND4,755 billion (US$200.24 million), it is expected to start operating in January 2025 and create jobs for nearly 1,200 workers.
The FMMV Foxconn Quang Ninh Factory project, covering an area of 4.1 hectares, will manufacture components and molds for information technology and communication products.
It has total investment capital of nearly VND1,100 billion (US$46 million) and is scheduled to be completed and operational by October 2024, employing over 700 workers.
Foxconn, established in 1974 and headquartered in Taiwan (China), is the world’s largest electronics manufacturer. It assembles and produces electronic devices for major companies worldwide, including Apple.
