F&B exhibition opens in HCMC

HCMC – More than 700 businesses from 20 countries and territories are participating in the 27th edition of the Vietfood & Beverage – Propack Vietnam 2023 expo in District 7, HCMC.

The three-day event began yesterday, August 10.

Nguyen Dang Hien, vice president of the HCMC Food and Foodstuff Association (FFA), said that the exhibition offers local firms an opportunity to boost trade and expand cooperation with international firms, with 10,000 brands featured at the event.

The exhibition features a variety of food and beverage products, in addition to machinery and equipment for food manufacturing and packaging.

The expo also has 10 foreign pavilions from countries and territories like India, Poland, Taiwan, Korea, Greece, Indonesia, Russia, Singapore, Thailand and China, according to the organizing committee.

The event includes a range of networking activities, business meetings, seminars, and factory visits.

Nguyen Dang Khanh, deputy general director of VINEXAD, said that the exhibition is a hybrid event, leveraging technology to facilitate potential partnerships. The online exhibition allows visitors to access booth information, explore products, and interact with exhibitors through computers or mobile devices.

Vietnam’s agricultural goods and processed foods are now present in more than 180 nations and territories.

In HCMC, the food and food processing sector is one of the city’s four key industries propelling economic growth, contributing to 13.78% of the total industry output value.
