NovaGroup to offload 43 million NVL shares

HCMC – NovaGroup JSC has registered to sell around 43 million Novaland (NVL) shares between August 18 and September 15 to restructure its investment portfolio and debt.
After the share sale, NovaGroup will lower its stake in Novaland from 23.157% to 20.952%, with 408.59 million NVL shares.
This move follows NovaGroup’s sale of 83 million NVL shares out of a registered sale of 136 million shares. NovaGroup cited a timing adjustment to align with debt restructuring plans.
Meanwhile, Diamond Properties, the second-largest Novaland shareholder, recently sold over 4.8 million NVL shares, reducing its stake to 9.599%, or 187.2 million shares.
NVL shares inched down 0.5% at the close of the trading session today, August 16, to VND20,650 per share, with a matching volume of nearly 41 million shares.
In HCMC, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange gained 9.21 points, or 0.75%, to close at 1,243.26, with 217 gainers and 243 losers.
The trading volume on the southern market totaled 930.7 million shares valued at VND20.9 trillion, a slight improvement over the session earlier. Block deals contributed around VND1.9 trillion to the overall value, with 65 million shares changing hands.
Lender STB took the lead by liquidity, with 44.95 million shares transacted, and closed up 4.4% to VND32,900 per share.
Other bank stocks also performed well. VPB improved by 1.8% to VND22,400 per share and TCB by 3.7% to VND35,300 per share, with a trading volume of 39.6 million shares and 13.2 million shares, respectively. SHB slid 0.4% to VND12,900 and reported a matching volume of 16.7 million shares.
The securities and real estate sectors also attracted cash flow. VIX surged 6.4% to VND18,250 per share, with 43.47 shares transacted. VND saw 26.66 million shares traded, ending with a 0.9% increase at VND21,300 per share.
Bluechip SSI increased by 0.5% to VND28,850 per share, with a trading volume of 15 million shares.
Other real estate stocks, including DIG, DXG, TDH, NHA, DXS, SJS and PDR, advanced 1.7% to 4.4%.
There were 79 stocks winning and 109 others losing on the Hanoi Stock Exchange. The HNX-Index rose 1.11 points, or 0.44%, to 252.56 points, with a total trading volume of 109.4 million shares valued at VND2.1 trillion.
