Vietnam’s ministries and sectors are closely working with their counterparts in China to implement various measures toward realizing important common perceptions reached by leaders and stepping up high-level bilateral exchanges.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang welcomed PM Chinh’s attendance at the opening of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) in Guangxi, and sent warm regards to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other Vietnamese leaders.

At the ASEAN-China High-Level Conference this morning, Li Qiang emphasized the significance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between ASEAN and China.

The two sides agreed to further promote economic, trade, and investment cooperation, stabilize supply chains, support market access, and expand collaboration in digital transformation, digital economy, adaptation to climate change, energy transition, and green and sustainable development.

PM Chinh suggested that as leading trade partners, ASEAN and China should closely work together to make the region a focal point for economic growth.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese leader proposed that China further open its market, and create favorable conditions for agricultural, aquatic, and fruit products from ASEAN countries to transit through Vietnam to the Chinese market.
