Anchovies thrive in Phan Thiet City

The period from July to September marks the peak of anchovy fishing season in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province.

Local fishermen are currently embarking on their final journeys to capture anchovies, which they will sell to processing facilities for the production of fish sauce. Additionally, fresh anchovies are steamed and naturally sun-dried during this time. The dried anchovy products find their way into domestic markets or are exported.

During this bustling season, when anchovy harvesting is at its peak, visitors exploring the traditional fishing villages of Phan Thiet are greeted by an atmosphere filled with the distinctive aroma of anchovies.
