DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL

DAY 2: HANOI FULL DAY OF CITY TOUR (B,L)

thumb_200x200_hanoicity2.jpg In the morning, visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday) where the great President Ho Chi Minh rest in peace. We will visit his traditional stilt house and the respected One-Pillar Pagoda, the special pagoda with particular structure. Leaving here, we will transfer to thousand-year-old Temple of Literature, the famous first university in Vietnam. You will recognize that this is a popular place for Vietnamese students to take commemorative photographs when graduating. This ancient monument is dated back to 11th century and continues mesmerizing visitors alike in its connection with the past and the architecture continued beauty. Its structure combines between the Le and Nguyen Dynasty style. After Lunch and a short rest , visit around Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple as well as the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday). Here, you can deeply explore the diversity of Vietnam’s ethnic groups before enjoying a traditional water puppet show performed after the sunset. Transfer back to hotel. Meals on your own and take a sound sleep for the following day! (Remark: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum closes from 08 September to 08 November for annual maintenance. Outside visiting can be arranged).

DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B/L/D)

thumb_200x200_halongbay_7.jpg After breakfast, we will leave Hanoi for a 180-km journey to Halong Bay, one of UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3000 islands located in a background of limestone in Gulf of Tonkin. Coming to Halong, visitors will be impressed with the beauty of natural achievement and many wonderful types of scenery. You will enjoy an overnight cruise on a wonderful boat floating on Halong Bay and savouring special menu of fresh seafood will absolutely bring you the best moment you have ever had. You will be served with lunch and dinner on boat. Overnight onboard.

DAY 4: HALONG BAY – HANOI – DANANG – HOIAN (B,L,D)

Once satisfied with the tea break, you will continue the onboard excursion through impressive limestone surrounding the bay. Don’t forget to take some nice photos of this unique land. Returning to the Harbour while brunch is served, we will transfer back to Hanoi Airport for flight to Danang. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel in Hoian for check in and dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: MY SON – HOIAN (B/L)

In this period, the valley at My Son was a site of religious ceremony for kings of the ruling dynasties of Champa, as well as a burial place for Cham royalty and national heroes. Immerse your self in the impressive beauty and listen to many attractive stories about historical and cultural values of this Holy Land. Transfer back to Hoian, we will start a walking tour with our tour-guide around the attractive Hoian port town. In 16th century, Hoian used to be the national trading center for East-West commercial itinerary. It seems to be the assembly point for diversity of ancient streets and homes. Particularly, the quaint cobblestone streets with more than two-century-old Chinese houses are indispensable subjects to visit and explore. You will see the ancient houses built following the Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures along the narrow lanes. The 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge built by Japanese merchants in 16th century, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, and the local fish market are some indispensable places that you should visit in Hoian. Let’s stop off at a tailor-made shop to get yourself a favourite clothes/suits/dresses done in just few hours. Transfer back to hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6: COOKING CLASS HOIAN (B/L)

You will visit a local market to buy some necessary ingredients for your course and learn how to select them. Afterwards, we will excurse along Hoian river to witness the local river life and the anglers casting nets before reaching the cooking school. The cooking course will take place in an extremely friendly ambiance with the guidance of the chef. You will be taught how to cook some traditional Vietnamese dishes and take recipe home. Enjoy your result with some additive dishes prepared by cooks for lunch. Saying goodbye to the cooking crew, we will transfer back to the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7: HOIAN – DANANG – SIEM REAP (B)

DAY 8: SIEM REAP TEMPLES (B)

thumb_200x200_angkorwat.jpg In the morning, we will transfer to visit Angkor Thom (means “Great City”) which was built in the late of 12th century under the reign of King Jayavarman VII. This place was the final and the most long-lasting capital of Khmer Empire. With an area of 9 square kilometers, Angkor Thom contains many temples erected in the former ages by Jayavarman and his latter generations. In the heart of Angkor Thom is the National Temple of Jayavarman, the Bayon Temple with many other relics around the Victory Plaza. An excursion here will give visitors chance to observe many ancient sculptures. We will continue to visit the ancient monastery Ta Prohm. The Ta Prohm Temple, which was built in 1186 particularly for the mother of King Jayavarman VII, used to be home of more than 12.500 people, including 18 priests and 80.000 Khmer people. However, the collapse of Khmer Empire leaded to the current situation of Temple: left fallow and covered by tropical forests. After a short rest, we will continue the exploration in Angkor Archaeological Site and discover Angkor Wat Temple, the largest and most beautiful Temple in Angkor Archaeological Site. Constructed in the 12th century (1112-1152) under the reign of Suryavarman II in honour of Vishnu, Angkor Wat is currently the soul and symbol of the Cambodian Nation and appears on the flag of the country. UNESCO recognized Angkor Wat as a World Heritage, which needs preserving. With many embossments surrounding this religious monument, it describes the legend of Hindu divinities and an immortal life. Visitors will easily notice an disproportionate scenery of squares, stairs, towers and imagine the magnificent age of Khmer Empire. Different from other temples in Angkor, Angkor Wat is still an important Buddhist work and home for numerous Buddha statues although it used to be left fallow in 15th century. Transfer back to hotel. DAY 9: SIEM REAP TOURING BY TUK-TUK (B)

DAY 10: SIEM REAP – CHIANG MAI

DAY 11: ELEPHANT CONSERVATION CENTER (B/L)

Currently, the center cares for over 50 Asian elephants scattered in a beautiful forest. The most interesting when visiting here is that you will have chance to learn how to care for an elephant and ride them in the jungle. Following the lunch is an excursion back to Chiang Mai with stop at Lamphun dated back to A.D.700. Referring to Lamphun means mentioning about several ancient and revered temples including Wat Prathat Hariphunchai erected in A.D.1044 and Wat Jamathevi named after a 7th century Queen. DAY 12: COOKING CLASS CHIANG MAI (B/L)

DAY 13: CHIANG MAI – BANGKOK – CITY TOUR (B/L)

DAY 14: BANGKOK CITY TOUR (B)
