At least 30 people killed in apartment building fire in Hanoi

HCMC – At least 30 people were killed in a fire that struck a mini apartment building in Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi on the evening of September 12, according to the Dan Tri news site.
The local authority has released preliminary information about the apartment building fire in Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District. Over 100 individuals trapped in the fire have been rescued.
The fire broke out at 11:50 p.m. on September 12 at a small apartment building located in alley 29/70, Khuong Ha Street, causing numerous casualties.
Over 100 firefighters, police, and 15 fire trucks promptly arrived at the scene, bringing the fire under control.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued a directive calling for the relevant agencies to address the aftermath of the blaze and determine its cause. He has also emphasized the need for additional measures in fire prevention and firefighting by local authorities.
He personally visited the victims and inspected the scene this afternoon.
