Cargo aircraft serving President Biden’s Vietnam visit lands in Hanoi

HCMC – The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft carrying special equipment and vehicles for U.S. President Joe Biden’s upcoming visit to Vietnam has arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi.
Flight 3312 landed at the Noi Bai International Airport at around 4 p.m. today, September 1 (local time). It was parked in front of the airport’s maintenance area for cargo unloading.
Two specialized vehicles, one Chevrolet and one Ford, also rolled off the aircraft, the local media reported.
The media quoted sources from Noi Bai International Airport as saying that the second C-17 flight carrying cargo for President Biden’s visit was scheduled to arrive at the airport at around 8 p.m.
The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is a workhorse transport and cargo aircraft of the U.S. Air Force. It specializes in transporting vehicles and equipment used to serve U.S. Presidents during their official trips.
Earlier, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that U.S. President Joe Biden would be visiting Vietnam from September 10 to 11 at the invitation of Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
President Biden’s visit is expected to help deepen ties between the two countries on a stable, substantial and long-term basis.
