HCMC – Just one month after resuming services to the coastal province of Khanh Hoa, China’s largest airline is set to increase its flight frequency from three times a week to daily at the end of this month.

China Southern has announced that the increase in flight frequency is in response to the growing travel demand of Chinese residents during the upcoming festive season.

Starting October 29, China Southern will operate daily return flights from Guangzhou to Khanh Hoa. The flights will depart from Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou at 14:20 local time and arrive at Cam Ranh Airport in Khanh Hoa Province at 15:50.

In the reverse direction, flights will take off from Cam Ranh International Airport at 16:40 and land at Baiyun Airport at 20:10 local time.

On September 29, China Southern’s flight carried 130 passengers from Guangzhou to Khanh Hoa Airport, marking the first resumption of commercial airline operations from China to Khanh Hoa Province since the Covid-19 pandemic was brought under control.

China Southern is China’s largest air carrier in terms of fleet and market share, with a fleet of 653 aircraft that includes Boeing, Airbus, and domestically made aircraft.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, over 1.1 million Chinese tourists visited Vietnam in the first nine months of the year, making China the second-largest source of visitors after South Korea.
