Consular Club HCMC resumes fundraising in town

HCMC – The Consular Club HCMC held the Fundraising Dinner 2023 yesterday, September 30, for the benefit of the community.

The event took place at the Intercontinental Saigon Grand Ballroom in District 1, HCMC with all 380 tickets sold to guests from the diplomatic and business communities in the city.

Consular Club President Milena Padula said in a statement that the Consular Club Fundraising Dinner is a meaningful event as it connects the Vietnamese, business and consular communities for a great cause.

All proceeds from this year’s Fundraising Dinner will be allocated to three charities in southern Vietnam. These include Planète Enfants and Dévelopment Vietnam, which operate a women’s shelter catering to victims of violence, VietHarvest which rescues quality surplus food and redistributes it to underserved communities and Brighter Path Girl’s Club which empowers girls through healthcare and education programs.

The event featured a cultural performance and a thrilling live auction which offered a variety of artworks, holiday experiences and fashionable pieces.

The Consular Club is well-known for its annual Bazaar, but due to the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020, the club staged its debut Fundraising Dinner, which was a resounding success, raising over US$70,000 for the recipient charities.
