HCMC – A section of the HCMC Beltway No. 3 project passing through Long An Province is having difficulty with site clearance, reported the local media.
According to the Long An Department of Transport, there are 88 households that have not yet handed over their land and 10 households that have not received compensation in the province.
Additionally, progress on the interchange location between the HCMC Beltway No. 3 project and the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway project has been halted due to a request for suspension from the Expressway Project Management Unit (SEPMU) until the site is handed over.
The Long An Department of Transport is working with the Ben Luc District People’s Committee to address these obstacles and encourage residents to hand over land in order for the main project work to proceed in September.
HCMC Beltway No. 3 is a crucial project, spanning nearly 76 kilometers in phase 1 and passing through HCMC, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Long An provinces. The project consists of 8 components and requires a total investment of VND75,000 billion. Long An is responsible for developing a section known as Component 7 with an investment cost of VND3,000 billion.
