HCMC puts holiday tourism revenue at VND3,100 billion
HCMC – HCMC earned VND3,130 billion from tourism services during the first three days of the five-day public holiday which ends on May 3.
According to the HCMC Tourism Department, the city has received 950,000 visitors, up 126.2% year-on-year, since the start of the holiday which comprises the death anniversary of the Hung Kings, Reunification Day and International Labor Day.
The city has attracted 48,000 foreign travelers during the holiday, up 263% over the year-ago holiday.
Hotels and other lodging facilities in the city have served around 180,000 guests, up 89.5% over the same period last year, with room occupancy reaching 75%.
In the first four months of this year, HCMC reported over VND51,147 billion in tourism revenue, a year-on-year increase of 75.5%.
