Tan Hoa in north-central Vietnam recognized as best tourism village

HCMC – Tan Hoa Village in the north-central province of Quang Binh has been recognized as one of the Best Tourism Villages in 2023 by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
The UNWTO announced a list of the Best Tourism Villages 2023 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan on October 19, having assessed 260 nominations from over 60 countries.
Four Vietnamese villages in Son La, Lai Chau, and Hoa Binh provinces sought the recognition but Tan Hoa is the only one to make it to the list.
In 2022, over 70 villages from nearly 40 countries were granted the UNWTO’s title.
Tan Hoa boasts its diversity and special features in natural and cultural resources. The village also demonstrates a strong commitment to pursuing sustainable tourism development.
The “Best Tourism Village” Award is a global initiative of UNWTO to honor villages where tourism can help preserve, promote the values and products of community life, at the same time highlighting innovation and sustainability.
